Mid-career is a balancing act.
Between the demands of work, family, and the pressures of financial responsibility, it’s easy to lose sight of ourselves. We are often exhausted and facing those pesky hormonal changes we don’t want to know about. We can have significant financial responsibilities that make it hard to feel like we have choices. We often feel a long way from who we used to be.
We desperately need to make change in our lives, but don’t know how. Or perhaps change is forced upon us and we aren’t ready for what’s next.
No one (NO ONE!) is in a perfect frame of mind all the time. We all have our ups and downs, good days and bad days. Whether you’re navigating a career upheaval or yearning for more alignment in your life, know this: your mindset isn’t fixed. It can evolve with the right approach and support.
But how do you know when it is time to seek help? And how do you know what kind of help you need?

With my background in consulting, combined with my passion for neuroplasticity and skills as an EFT Practitioner, I will help you do things differently. I’ll work with you to find out what it is you really want, understand and clear what is holding you back and help you find the path forward.

Em has faced several significant career transitions… and found her way through. This work brings together all the things that Em has learned along the way so that it doesn’t have to take you nearly as long!
Our businesses and work-lives are always a work in progress, but hers has a calmness that comes from doing something meaningful, feeling more balanced, doing work that is more aligned with purpose and generally feeling a lightness as you go about your day.
She is an experienced management consultant and was already mentoring people in their careers and businesses and could see the way EFT could speed up the process of transformation. Em also learnt a lot about the natural functioning of our brains, neuroplasticity and how we can use that to our advantage in our daily lives.
So the blend of all that experience and knowledge has led to a methodology that is a mix of helpful frameworks and tools, EFT to help clear blocks and finally, harnessing how our brains work to create a mindset that will support a confident, capable and empowered woman!
What is it like working with Em?
The most important ingredient is that you are ready to help yourself. Any meaningful change has an element of hard work, even when we are really ready. The only person that can change your mindset is you.
Em will guide you through a process of discovery and understanding. Working out what you are aiming for and looking inside to see what is holding you back are the first steps to getting going!
Using the gentle technique of EFT (or Tapping), along with coaching, learning about your brain, self help strategies and frameworks to help you see things differently, you will create your own way forward.

Sometimes the change can happen quickly, and sometimes it can be slower… accepting either of these can be difficult depending on your perspective!

What is EFT Tapping and how can it help?
Tapping is a simple process that you can do yourself. By physically tapping acupuncture points on the head and torso, we are sending calming signals to the brain (in particular our primitive fight/flight/freeze centre). When we tap on these points while we are focusing on an unpleasant emotion that is connected to an event or experience, the act of tapping allows you to disconnect the emotion (fear, worry, anxiety, anger etc) from the event. EFT is the guided practice to work on a more specific issue that you want to see some resolution on, or feel some relief from.
There have been numerous fMRI studies showing changed brain activity after using tapping to address a particular issue. There have also been studies that show it can reduce cortisol (the hormone we release when we are under stress) by around 40%. So while we don't know exactly how tapping works, we know that it calms the nervous system and allows you to create new ways of thinking about a past or future experience or event.
